This orchid is unusual for a spider orchid as there is very little variation in the flowers - they all look much the same throughout the distribution. It is found between Perth and Albany and flowering begins in mid August.

Today we found what looks like this taxon on the Borden Golf Course. But on closer inspection the trials were not clubbed and the labellum has a fringe of call. The only other orchids nearby are C. bryceana and another that looks like C. abbreviata (Brown et al,2013). Any ideas?
I have not heard of C. macrostylis being found in the Borden area. Can you please send me a photo of your find using the contact page?
