Caladenia elegans - Elegant Spider Orchid

This orchid is identified by the pale yellow colouring of the petals and sepals. Aside from that it is very much the typical wispy spider in shape and height. Each plant has one to three flowers 10-15cm long on stems from 15-25cm tall. The orchid grows in winter wet areas in a small area north west of Northampton and flowers from late July to August.
