Mark 11: 24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
Dear God, this morning I arose a little down hearted, because without thinking, I have been cross and irritated, speaking defensive words that revealed my lack of patience and annoyance.
I have confessed my sins, and know You hear my words, because Jesus promised to do so. Why then this feeling of continuing guilt? I have found it to be most often the devil messing with my thoughts. If so please I ask in the name of Jesus, rebuke him. If this is not so, please reveal to me, any trespass, wrong attitudes or faith issue, so that I can repent, and be forgiven for my wrong. Firstly I suspect I still carry a bit of a grudge, revealed in that at first I was somewhat hard hearted about my words; thinking “I do not need to think “I have sinned because I was just reacting to being unjustly accused and not being given a chance to continue with my answer”. Then suddenly my voice was raised in irritation and accusation. Later by the prompting of the Holy Spirit, it came to me, that by His strength, I do not need to react in irritation and give myself an issue. I could have refrained from words, and left the ‘issue with the impatient ‘high-handed one; who is not an ogre, and would have settled. Mark 11: 25, 26 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespass. V26 “But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespass.”
Jesus, please forgive me, and fill me with the Holy Spirit, so like You when on earth, I can refrain from anger and argument. Now I am uplifted by Your free forgiveness and know as far as You are concerned it is finished, and any lingering sense of guilt does not come from You but from the evil one, who loves to accuse me and to say to You, that I am not deserving of being forgiven. No I am not, but joy of joys, in Your sight I am worthy of dying for, and being forgiven.
Jesus in the end, it is wonderful to walk obediently with You in all things!
Micah 7:19”He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”
